With many years dedicated exclusively to the cooking arts, Chef Rita Oliveira had a diverse career with experiences in various national and international kitchens, until she found a home at the Historic Palace in Serra da Lousã, where she fell in love with haute Cuisine and cake design. She has since created her own brand of chocolates, headed the kitchen at Your Hotel and Spa, in Alcobaça, and is now the Executive Chef at Palácio de São Silvestre, in Coimbra, where she explores and draws inspiration from the rich local gastronomy.
Born and raised in the central region of Portugal, those who taste her creations know that the products and flavours she chooses are the best in the region. As a Chef, Rita pays homage to her roots and wants to share with the world the best of the culinary traditions from this region of Portugal.
