Manuel Debiez
Born in Venezuela, Manuel Debiez grew up thinking that he would live a life dedicated to science. He returns to Portugal in his adolescence and enrols at the University of Algarve thinking he would become a teacher. Years later, he decided to change his path and returned to school, to the Algarve School of Hospitality and Tourism. This time there was no doubt. He knew he would forever live among pots and pans.
Chef Manuel, seeks to bring to his gastronomy the tones, smells, light and rhythms of the Caribbean, the place that has seen him born. He also draws inspiration from works of art for the conception of his signature dishes.
For Chef Manuel Debiez, the best compliment is the smile on the face of those who try his dishes. His mission is to create gastronomic experiences of strong emotions, unique flavours and of course, lot’s of smiles. He believes in a constant attention to detail and the search for elements that can make an experience unique.
