Green is Beautiful could be the culinary motto of Chef João Augusto. With a degree in management and another in culinary arts by the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Lisbon, he is passionate about everything that is alternative and healthy. João always preferred food projects outside the traditional restaurant model and his style is clearly influenced by the Vegan and Vegetarian cuisines, although he also delights his clients with flavours from the Sea.
Chef João is incessantly looking for new ingredients and new techniques that elevate his culinary philosophy to its deserved level. He is very active in the community, organizes street festivals such as " Cenas Vegan Lá na Street", lectures and other events that promote animal protein-free food and the importance of food sustainability.
He created the "Vegetarian Collection" for Zomato and collaborates with restaurants dedicated to vegan cuisine such as Veggie Kitchen in Azeitão. He also worked restaurants such as The Food Temple, Tsubaki, 1300 Tavern and Soi Asian Food, but his culinary soul is definitely "Green".
