Having started his academic journey with a brief introduction to Economics, Flávio quickly realized that he would end up following his father footsteps and become a Chef.
After completing his education at the Hospitality and Tourism School of Coimbra, Flávio embraced several projects as a Pastry Chef and later as an Executive Chef, including at the Villa Pampilhosa Hotel from 2012 until 2020. In parallel, Chef Flávio joined the culinary competition circuit, reaching 1st place in the category of 'Junior Pastry Chef', with his creation of the “Licor Beirão Bonbon”. Later he was awarded the gold medal in an important Codfish competition, having also been a finalist at the Chef of the Year 2020 contest.
Flávio, who has cooking as part of his DNA, is also an entrepreneur as he developed his own brand of handmade chocolates, that were awarded 2nd place at the Chocolate Festival of Óbidos. Passionate about Portugal’s culinary traditions, particularly those of the country’s central provinces, Chef Flávio Silva’s mission is to work with products from the local mountain ranges, elevating them to their deserved gourmet-level, in what he describes as a journey to his origins.
The Chef is currently dedicated to training future Chefs at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Coimbra and also at Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra, in the first gastronomy program in Portugal. He also works with the Portugal National Football Teams, male and female, having been to multiple Euro Cups and World Cups across the globe.

Foi o nosso primeiro reencontro entre amigos e foi fantástico!
O Chef abordou-nos sempre de máscara e fez-nos sentir verdadeiramente seguros.

Não podia ter tido melhor Chef para primeira experiência gastronómica de alta cozinha. Tudo estava delicioso, mas destaco a bolinha de cabrito com queijo da serra e o bacalhau confitado: simplesmente divinal!! Isto sempre acompanhado de uma extrema simpatia.
