Not all engineers fall in love with the kitchen. But in the case of André Baptista, the "fall" was such that behind he left the lab, the math and even the Ph.D. in the MIT Portugal program he was attending. With that change, along came the trips, the increased the gastronomic curiosity, the insane search for the best flavour combinations. It was almost ten years of travelling from one place to another, across five continents and dozens of cities.

Despite his natural talent for the kitchen, he attended the school of Hospitality and Tourism in Porto, then moving to Lisbon where he had the chance and mastery to serve under the helm of the Michelin-starred Chef José Avillez (at Minibar and Bairro do Avillez) and Chef Kiko Martins (in Talho and Cevicheria, of which he was the Head Chef). In the meantime, he passed by the Maido kitchen in Lima in Peru, considered to be "just" the seventh best restaurant in the world at World 50 Best Restaurants 2018 (and the best restaurant in South America). He also passed by Pakta *, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Barcelona.

Chef André brings together multiple flavours, mixing apparently conflicting influences, that he successfully explores like no other. An experience that is now available for you, at your own home, with Supper Stars.
