Marco Meloni
Born and raised in Italy, Chef Marco Meloni grew up in a family of cooks. The alchemy of creating flavours is truly embedded in his DNA. Marco’s father was a chef, his very first teacher and strongest source of inspiration: “I was 3 years old when I started going along with my father to the restaurant. Being in the kitchen has always felt like home. Becoming a chef was my destiny.”
Having worked in multiple restaurants during his studies, Marco moved to London after obtaining his Diploma in Culinary Arts at the Professional Institute Costa Smeralda, near his hometown in Sardinia. Here, he rose quickly through the ranks, catering in luxury hotels, private members clubs and upscale restaurants in Knightsbridge and Mayfair. Marco also spent a year in Sydney, Australia, before returning to London to head up an Italian restaurant in the affluent Chelsea neighbourhood.
Chef Marco’s first culinary memories are of preparing fish. It is a skill he loves to use to this day. His experience spans fine dining, traditional Italian and traditional French cuisines. He is equally comfortable serving fish and meat, vegetarian and vegan, as well as pastries and other desserts.
Passionate about people and about sharing, Marco is in demand as a private chef, with jobs in homes and yachts across London, Sidney and Italy. He particularly loves the challenge of meeting each client’s personal preferences and dietary requirements, creating personalised and unique menus, from multi-course formal dinners to casual barbeques throughout the summer.
